Active Herbal Ingredients in Anti Parasite Capsules Promoted For Marijuana Detox

Some on-line marijuana detox advice suggests using anti parasite capsules to speed up the body’s natural detox processes (and hence the marijuana detox process). Popular active, herbal ingredients have multiple medicinal properties – including targeting the stimulation of the body’s excretory system (encouraging detox by way of urine and bowel movements). Some of these anti parasite capsules are antioxidants – which play important roles in body’s natural detox process.

The following are active, herbal ingredients often found in anti parasite capsules.

Herbal bitters not only stimulate digestion but also stimulate the secretion and flow of bile, cleansing both the liver (the primary site of THC metabolism) and gall bladder. Two bitters are commonly listed as ingredients in anti parasite capsules: Wormwood and Goldenseal.

Wormwood can be used as a tonic to stimulate the appetite as well as to aid in digestion. Wormwood extracts are diuretic (a substance or drug that tends to increase the discharge of urine), antiseptic, and vermifuge (a medicine that expels worms from the intestinal tract).

Containing a toxic compound called thujone, the active chemical in the French liquor absinthe. Absinthe was outlawed in France in 1915 due to its toxicity.

Goldenseal, another bitter, is used as a laxative. Goldenseal is also used to enhance the medicinal effects of other herbs that it is blended or formulated with. Often used as a multi-purpose remedy, Goldenseal has herbal medicinal properties in addition to its role as a bitter and as a mild laxative.

Goldenseal is used as a hepatic (medicine acting on the liver), an anti-inflammatory, a topical antimicrobial (destroying or inhibiting the growth of microorganisms and especially pathogenic microorganisms), an emmenagogue (a drug or agent that induces or hastens menstrual flow), and an oxytocic (a substance that stimulates the contraction of the uterus, for purpose of hastening childbirth).

Another common ingredient found in anti parasite capsules are black walnut hulls (hulls are the the husk, shell, or outer covering of a seed or fruit), which contain juglone (crystalline compound that has fungicidal and antibiotic properties), Vitamin C (powerful antioxidant), and zinc (mineral used for heavy metal detox).

It is also a multi-purpose remedy, used to treat acne, thyroid disease, colitis, eczema, hemorrhoids, ringworm, sore throats, tonsillitis, skin irritations, and wounds.

Advocates promote the use of black walnut hulls as a mild laxative that eases digestion.

Black seed herb is another popular ingredient in anti parasite capsules. Not to be confused with black caraway, black onion seed, or black sesame seed – it is more clear to refer to black seed herb by its Latin name “Nigella Sativa.”

Containing a non-starch polysaccharide component that is a useful source of fiber (i.e.: laxative), black seed herb oil is proven to effective against strains of bacteria. Some of these bacteria are known to be highly resistant to drugs, such as V. Cholera, E. Coli, and all but one strain of Shigella.

Cloves are also included as a main active ingredient in many anti parasite capsules. Recent research from the Miguel Hernandez University in Spain concluded that cloves are the best natural antioxidant. Antioxidants are powerful supplements to the body’s natural detox process.
